CHL is focused on giving effective low-cost support for parents who cannot afford solicitors and barristers in family court proceedings. We will provide you with Paralegal support in complex children matters, Non-Molestation charges, domestic violence issues, parental alienation, and divorce, and that too at a fraction of unreasonably high solicitor fees. If you would like to know more about the services we provide, have a look at our services page.
In family law cases, the experience is key, And our director is a fellow member of the National Association of Licenced Paralegals, Our director has worked many cases, including representing a client on the grant of Right of Audience at High Court, Circuit Judge Courts and District Judge Court. To have a look at our proven track record, taken a look at our reviews page.
Our charges are very low compared to the fees of a solicitor. If the situation allows, CHL will encourage you to bring matters to an amicable settlement with the opposite party through a collaborative approach, however, we understand this is not always possible, and if all mediation based efforts fail CHL will support you with your case.
To make sure you get the best experience possible, we offer a free initial support call, where you can explain your issues to us and we can explain how to further help you in this challenging time. We will leave no stone unturned to ensure the best interest of you and your child.
When all mediation based efforts fail, and if no legal aid is available, a few of the critical choices for an individual seeking justice in our Courts include:
1. Hiring the services of solicitors may be costly, sometimes very costly and these charges can run into thousands of pounds. These astronomical fees of lawyers can often leave the litigant (you) without any support at all.
2. When you cannot afford the fees of the solicitor, you must make a difficult choice, to fight for your rights, or give up. The applicants and respondents need to consider the prohibitive litigation costs ‘Vis-à-vis’ giving up or accepting a bad deal in the name of “Settlement” or “By Agreement”.
3. The final choice then becomes represent yourself as a Litigant in Person: It can be concluded that sometimes the only option might be to represent yourself. It is as such a point that McKenzie Friend can play a valuable role, as they can help you with paperwork and support you and give quiet layman advice in the court date.
Our director is a Fellow Member of the National Association of Licensed Paralegals of the National Association of Licensed Paralegals.
